Men’s Fashion Trends Defining Spring/Summer 2026

Men’s luxury fashion is stepping into a vibrant, refined era this season—men’s trends SS26 mark a shift away from the sportswear dominance in recent years, focusing on a refreshing mood of playful elegance. Prints, embroidery, and textures are in the spotlight, while vibrant colors and striking graphics inject a new energy into menswear classics. The rise of fluid suiting signals a confident departure from the all-too-familiar streetwear trend. Designers are embracing lighter, kind of romantic fabrics and detailed textiles—they are eager to add sensuality to traditionally masculine wardrobes. The result is a season that feels liberated and expressive, showcasing luxury fashion that isn’t shy about incorporating color, delicacy, and emotional presence.

What are the current trends in men's fashion? What to keep in mind, and what to be on the lookout for? Join us as we explore the most exciting Spring/Summer 2026 trends in menswear!

Casual sweaters

Knitwear in easy mode—light, relaxed, with a touch of low-key luxury. Ribs, mesh, gauze, drop shoulders, V-necks—that’s what it feels like. There is always a place in men's spring fashion for a couple of trustworthy sweaters that align with the latest trends. Keep an eye on something breathy and even a bit flirty.

The Wool-blend crewneck pullover from Tiger of Sweden is that perfect example—chunky rib knit, V-neck, relaxed fit. Depending on what you pair it with, it can give you that sensual feeling. If you are up for something basic and minimalist, check out the Merino wool pullover from A.P.C. Nothing too loud, just a function in a graceful form.

Leather jackets

Grandpacore is still making waves, this time focusing on the quintessential lived-in leather jacket. Oversized, well-loved, and packed with character—it's the perfect opportunity to sift through your dad’s or granddad’s closet. Find the one with a naturally weathered patina, one that tells its own story. It can be a bomber, a blazer-like jacket, even a short coat. The main idea is material.

Ready for a full-leather immersion? Check out the Leather bomber jacket from Aeronautica Militare with a sleek silhouette. But if that sounds too bold for now, you may insert leather details instead—like in the Leather sleeve bomber jacket from Dirk Bikkembergs.

Tracksuits

Old-school tracksuits bring us just as much joy as the resurgence of vintage leather jackets. Riding high on a wave of nostalgia, these styles return in modern interpretations, reminding us of their enduring appeal. In spring 2026 collections, the focus has shifted from a purely sporty vibe. Nowadays, you can pair your tracksuits with loafers or style them with a shirt peeking out underneath.

Aeronautica Militare blends modern appeal with a retro aesthetic in their tracksuit designs. Check out the Textured hooded tracksuit set for a neutral everyday option and the Hooded tracksuit set for something more dynamic.

Chunky polos

The preppy polo is back—but this time as a chunky knit. An ideal combination with another SS26 trend, the liquid wide trousers and slip-on sandals. Apart from casual styles, designers introduced sheer knits with loose weaving and voluminous silhouettes—fluidity seems to be the main topic this season in every possible aspect.

The Mouliné knitted polo from Les Deux showcases the chunky tactile texture that fashion enthusiasts are on a hunt for. Don’t overlook this long-lasting trend!

Gorpcore

We're definitely in an era of adventure and exploration in men's fashion, and designers are shaking things up with a fresh twist on gorpcore urban style. This season features eye-catching raincoats, cargo pockets, bold hiking bags, signaling a renewed spirit of exploration in men's SS 2026 trends. It’s clear that the journey isn’t about one set path—it’s about forging your own way forward.

Duno’s Tie-dye effect windbreaker jacket is an always-relevant classic that is easy to embed into an urban dressing. The Packable down vest from Blauer is somewhat more outdoorsy, but the current trend says, “There is nothing we can wear outdoors that we cannot wear in the city.” Yet the most fashion-forward take on this trend showcases Moose Knuckles with staples like the Patch-pocket jacket, reminiscent of the classy workwear jackets.

Embroidery

Delicate, intricate, and unexpectedly bold—embroidery is emerging as a detail to watch. Whether on jackets, shirting, suits, or accessories, it’s adding depth and dimension to menswear in a way that feels charming, not fussy. Whether fully covered or with small embroidered details, each staple that has a tiny bit of such embellishment is in vogue.

The Embroidered pattern jacket from Dirk Bikkembergs, for example, embraces the trend in its full glory, while the Short-sleeve shirt from Les Deux has some delicate floral embroidery that looks almost like a print.

Stripes

Stripes in menswear aren’t new, but this time they’re coming in strong. Some brands went bold with them on outerwear, others incorporated them into shirts and suits, while the most daring designers showcased head-to-toe striped looks. Consider this your cue to give the classic motif a fresh spin and go bold when styling men's summer outfits.

Les Deux’s Stripe peached poplin shirt is sort of a new neutral for this season, the perfect shirt for both casual and formal ensembles. But stripes went far beyond our everyday wardrobe—straight into swimwear, with the Stripe swim shorts being proof.

Printed shirts

Meet printed shirts that can almost be seen from the moon—bright florals and abstract graphics in bold colors, teamed with liquid tailoring or clean separates, are the contrast booster. While a typical dresser may not usually opt for striking patterns, designers are pushing more energetic and vibrant pieces in their fresh collections.

The Short-sleeve shirt from Les Deux and the Printed short-sleeve linen shirt from 120% Lino are our favorites in this category. They fit the bill yet remain understated, and to keep such a balance is not as easy as it might seem.

Bermuda shorts

The upcoming Bermudas are wide and shaped. Flowing, but never sloppy. These mega shorts have been brewing in menswear for some time, coinciding with the unrelenting big pants trend. Unlike a short-short (and yes, underwear-like shorts are also trending), mega shorts lend themselves better to the evening transition.

Here, we suggest airy fabrics—lightweight cotton or linen. The Linen bermuda shorts from 120% Lino, for instance, or the Drawstring linen shorts from Beige Brown would do.

Slides

Slides are basically shoes that resemble slippers. They seem to reflect a collective reluctance to leave home, and when we do venture outside, we want to feel at ease as we navigate daily challenges. The slides have taken over the streets of fashion capitals, with many fashion houses introducing their own take on the style for the upcoming season. Love them or hate them, it's clear that after this trend, going back to traditional, stiff shoes will be quite a challenge.

We see the same switch towards more comfortable footwear in Hereu’s collection, with the Interwoven mule as a great example. Clarity and ease are some of the main principles of SS26, influencing every design, even shoes and accessories.
