SS26: The Most Iconic Fashion Trends to Wear This Season

Season

The start of a new season on the calendar opens up a world full of possibilities. Whether you’re looking to update your style with something fresh or are committed to buying only pieces you know you’ll wear, 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting year. The outlook? There’s less pressure to pin yourself down to just one trend, meaning more freedom to experiment and have fun with your wardrobe.

The good news is that the spring-summer 2026 trends don’t necessitate a complete closet overhaul but selectively incorporate a few trendy items—some color, some layers, and those little details that make an outfit ultimately yours. From neutral tones to daring undergarments reminiscent of childhood nursery rhymes, it’s time to embrace that youthful spirit of sneaking into mom’s closet to try on her clothes. Outfit repetition is no longer something to shy away from; in fact, it’s become quite trendy—especially when you incorporate current fashion trends to keep each look feeling fresh and unique.

Up ahead, you’ll find the biggest fashion trends almost every Spring-Summer collection has, so you can mix, match, and play with your wardrobe to your heart's content all year round.

80s office wear

The gradual yet unstoppable shift towards return-to-office policies is unfolding. Are you excited about heading back, or would you rather work from home? Well, in any case, there’s no denying that office wear is slowly making its way into our everyday wardrobes. Recently, designers have been drawing a lot of inspiration from the ’80s, and this influence is particularly evident in work clothes. Exaggerated shoulders, bow blouses, pumps, and pencil skirts—all of which are more versatile than you ight think and can easily be worn even on weekends.

We love the nostalgic look of the Collarless blazer by House of Dagmar—an iconic piece that continues to be one of the most popular staples in our collection. Along with the Pencil maxi skirt, they follow the 80s aesthetic and fall into the trend just perfectly.

Florals

We’ve always got time for floral clothes in spring, but this season it’s less about a bouquet than what you might place in a bud vase. Quieter than a wallpaper-like print, but no less striking, it is a trend where a single flower can be silhouetted against a garment, and that’d be enough. A bunch of flowers is always nice, but according to this spring fashion trend, you can say more with less.

The Floral printed linen blouse by 120% Lino contains multiple florals, yet it still feels understated thanks to the minimalist graphics. The Printed halterneck maxi dress is even more abstract—we see a hint of a floral pattern, yet it is subtle and feels a lot quieter than most floral pieces.

Preppy chic

For fans of fall’s modern prep style, there’s much to enjoy in this spring’s interpretation, as designers have taken the concept of uniform dressing and infused it with a more expressive flair through unexpected color combinations and layered looks. This season focuses on functional preppy clothes—cardigans, pencil skirts, polo shirts, V-neck sweaters—with the elements of surprise, like a glimpse of red peeking out from beneath a shirt or bright leather gloves that stand out against a more subdued color palette. Although preppy style has been a staple in fashion for several years, it’s beginning to transform into something fresh and exciting.

The easiest way to follow this trend is with the Longsleeve polo shirt by Beige Brown—polos always have their place in our wardrobes and in our everyday outfits. The Long wool cardigan from House of Dagmar will also do, above a bright button-down, maybe?

Leather

Typically linked to colder weather, the presence of leather on the SS26 runways proves it's incredibly versatile. This time, the material steps beyond black and embraces softer hues—fresh and seasonal. Designers highlighted both genuine leather and faux leather in tan, chocolate, grey, and even muted green. These transitional pieces look especially chic against the airy spring backdrop.

However, the black leather is not going anywhere either. So, if you are up for some boldness, the Straight-fit leather trousers from House of Dagmar and the Leather straight trousers by Agolde are at your service.

Grey

If your comfort zone is colors that don’t shout but whisper, grey emerging as the neutral among spring color trends is good news. This season’s grey is never drab. With 50 shades of the muted tone taking on sumptuous materials like tulle, silk, and various knitwear, not to mention otherworldly draping, this unsung hue finds itself red-carpet ready. Just don’t expect it to shimmer.

The Poloneck sweater by Lisa Yang falls into two trends at once—it is grey, and it is a polo. The Rolled relaxed jeans from Citizens of Humanity are an unusual interpretation of the grey trend in denim. It won’t be surprising when we see more grey jeans this season than ever before. The Knitted cashmere bra top in grey is another double-trend piece, as bras are getting their appreciation as well.

Textured bags

Textured finishes continue to reign in the bag world, with various weaves as a shorthand for understated chic. Luxurious suede styles, meanwhile, are endlessly elegant and will elevate your look by contrasting beautifully against wools, silks, and other tactile fabrics. From a minimalist canvas bag with inserts and cutouts to a luxe raffia bag with distinctive weaving, choose the piece that aligns with your seasonal mood.

Hereu’s new collection features some outstanding designs we would love to highlight—the Slouchy shoulder bag and the Crossbody bag with the unique raffia weaving. Crafted in neutral beige, they suit the spring palette and are easy to style for daily wear and special occasions.

Slingbacks

We spotted classy heeled slingbacks in the SS collections of many prominent fashion houses, adding further fuel to rumors that heels are indeed making a comeback. However, there’s no need to worry—ultra-high slingback shoes are still absent in this post-pandemic era, where flats and sneakers have been embraced as acceptable evening wear. That said, slingback flats and kitten heels are the main part of the spring shoe trends in 2026.

For the spring-summer, the slingback sandals are the most relevant pairs you can wish for—and we highly recommend checking Hereu’s pieces, such as the Asymmetrical woven sandals and the Woven sandals.

Trench

Originally designed by Thomas Burberry in 1914 to protect British soldiers, the trench coat has since become a timeless fashion staple. Yet, that hasn’t stopped designers from putting their unique spin on it. The trench coat is the ultimate fashion staple—it's perpetually in vogue, particularly during springtime. Not surprisingly, SS26 has made some subtle reinventions. When searching for the one and only piece, though, it might be wise to stick with what you know, investing in a twist on this classic that only gets better with time. A cropped trench coat, maybe?

If you are up for the classic long staple, the Long trenchcoat from House of Dagmar is your best bet. Yet, if you want a trench with a twist, check out the Short trench coat from Tiger of Sweden—being a stylish piece, it is also made with protective features.

Pajamas

Will the Spring-Summer 2026 season definitively transform matching pajamas into everyday attire? All signs point to yes if their appearance in the collections of high-end brands is an indication. Some designers even devoted their entire show to it, blurring the border between indoor and outdoor attire. And honestly, it sounds amazing.

The cotton set from Beige Brown is a great example of such pajama-inspired clothing, featuring the Striped cotton shirt and the Striped cotton pants. You heard it right, it doesn’t have to be a real pajama—rather a nod to this indoor aesthetic.

Tactile textures

Clothes that made you want to reach out and give them a ruffle, stroke, or even a gentle poke were a highlight of Spring-Summer 2026 fashion inspo. Ruffles, fringes, laces, feathers—everything that creates a texture or is a texture itself is in vogue this season, and there is nothing more refreshing. Textures are the easiest details, and we love to play with them—combining different ones or adding an edgy one to make the look pop.

The Fringe midi skirt and the Lace knit top from House of Dagmar both add a distinct texture, and both create a lovely mood—in their own way. Fringes are for movement, laces are for stillness, so choose according to your ensemble and indulge in textural beauty.

Silk & Satin

Vinyl dresses, liquid satins, supple latex, and smatterings of sequins all lent a prevalent high-shine finish to many of the spring/summer collections. And even though SS26 trends are bright, you don’t have to shine like a Christmas tree. This trend is easy to follow in a subtle way—incorporate a satin camisole, a silk skirt, or a sequined bag into the look. Don’t have to have all of those together; just one fluid piece is enough.

The Sleeveless draped top by Tiger of Sweden, for example, is not loud but still follows the trend due to the shiny material and artful draping on the front. The Satin midi skirt by Erika Cavallini is a basic piece, and even though it feels neutral, it falls into the sweet spot among the current trends.
